Playa Dominical is a stunningly beautiful beach town on the Pacific Ocean coastline of Costa Rica, where the mountains meet the sea. Sunrise and sunset asana practices are enjoyed on the gorgeous coastal beach. A hopping small town with John's Place Juice Bar, clubs, art & yoga studio's, health food restaurants and fruit stands. Often called a surfers oasis due to premium surfing conditions.
You can walk the sandy beach during your breaks, or sunbath and work on that golden tan. The ocean is warm and inviting for snorkeling, body surfing or swimming.
Meditate to the tunes of the monkeys and tropical birds, meet the local people, journal by a waterfall and sandy palm forest beach. If you don't like high surf you can body surf in Playa Dominicalito bay. Hike in the rainforest after breakfast or take a nap in your hammock after lunch.
The air temperature stays in the 80's year round, ideal for yoga. Playa Dominical is a highly sought after international travel destination for people of all ages.
Lava Hot Springs
Mountains, rivers, rocky cliffs, farms and flowers surrounding the spiritual vortex Lava Hot Springs. An old Indian site for babtism's and sacred ceremony. An oasis of mineral filled hot springs bubbling up in the center of a charming western town. Music nightly at the Wagon Wheel. Art galleries, crystal shops, bars, pizza, ice cream shop and John's Place Juice Bar.
Wagon rides, zip line, golf, hiking, fishing, caves, tubing down the River and soaking in the springs. All in breathtaking scenery and an occasional toot of the train's horn.
In such a small buzzing, yet relatively quiet camping town there is truly something for everyone. Walk along the scenic Portneuf River, soak in the springs or go for a hike in the mountains on your free time. Find insight in walking the laberinth, meditate and journal by the river, or take in some shopping at the boutique shops.
April in Lava Hot Springs is early spring in the mountains offering chilly mornings and evenings and warm to cool daytime temperatures averaging from 50's to 70's. Perfect walking conditions and temperatures to slip into the hot springs on excursions and free time.
